Excellent article Joe - you introduce and expand on the need of acknowledging and accepting our cognitvie biases. Really zesty, passionate, succinct writing.

IMO, our hyperbolic imaginations powered by our gossip-loving, intuition-driven brain (see my story covering this here), renders us unable to estimate the prevalence of the most basic issues affecting our planet. I've written an article titled "Curb Your Instinct" based on learnings from Hans Rosling's "Factfulness" which also highlights our common mental biases and how to nullify them. I think it complements your piece perfectly and I would love it if you could provide me with some feedback.
